Mikao Usui (1865–1926)

What is Reiki?
Reiki, (pronounced ray-key), in the Japanese Character system, is a combination of two separate words. meaning universal, spirit, a boundless essence and meaning life force energy. Together their meaning is roughly Universal Life Energy, or Universal life force energy. Life force energy is resides in everything you see around you, yourself included. All animals, plants, humans, have life force energy.
Conditions that Reiki may improve include:

  • Stress

  • Menstrual problems

  • Pain

  • Insomnia

  • Anxiety

  • Tension

  • Headaches .

  • Asthma

  • Anxiety Attacks

  • Many, many more…

Reiki is not a substitute for traditional medicine. No Reiki practitioner should ever tell a client that they can “cure” an illness or advise their client to stop taking any prescribed medicines or to stop seeing their doctor. This is very bad business, and the Reiki practitioner must stay out of the choices their client’s are making. It is both unethical and illegal to make suggestions such as these to any client.
The History of Reiki
In the early 1800s, Christian Missionaries traveled around the world to share the gift of Christianity to everyone they met. One such stop found them in Kyoto, Japan.
Mikao Usui listened to their tails of Jesus Christ and how he was able to heal the sick. He asked the missionaries if they could heal like Jesus did and he told that they could not because they had not been taught how to heal. Usui was very interested in healing and know ancient texts often taught about such healing.A learned man, Usui worked on translating ancient scripts into modern day language. During his work, Usui came across texts on ancient healing symbols but he did not know how to use the symbols. As was the custom of the time, you would go to the sacred mountain and fast and meditate to receive answers to your questions. So Usui decided to do a 21 day fast at the Holy Mountain of Kuriyama. He set out 21 stones in front of him. Each day he would cast out one stone. On the 21st and last day of his fast and meditation, he saw a shining light coming towards him at great speed. It struck him in the Ajna center (middle of the forehead) and knocked him unconscious. He saw millions of little colored bubbles that contained symbols in them. Along with the lights, came the knowledge of how to activate them. He had found what he was searching for.

You can usually start each session with a “Silent Prayer”

Rei and Ki.

Rei can be translated as the material or Universal Light and Ki means energy or key to unlock  a door, so in essence Reiki is our Universal Life Force

Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of

body and mind

Usui Spiritual Healing Method (Usui Reiki Ryoho)

The founder, Mikao Usui (Chossô, Usui Mikao)"

and GRAND MASTER of Reiki

The teaching of Reiki outside of Japan is commonly divided into three levels, or degrees, the most common of which are described below. Traditional Japanese Reiki was taught intensively under Usui's guidance, with weekly meditation meetings where Reiki was given and used to scan the body in order to supply an energetic diagnosis, which is known in Japanese as Byosen-hō, as a Japanese Reiki treatment is intuitive and specifically directed in comparison to a Western Reiki treatment, which tends to generally treat the whole body instead of specific areas.

First degree

The first degree Reiki course, sometimes given the Japanese name of Shoden ("初伝" in Japanese, meaning "'Elementary/Entry Teachings"), teaches the basic theories and procedures. A number of "attunements" are given to the student by the teacher. Students learn hand placement positions on the recipient's body that are thought to be most conducive to the process in a whole body treatment. Having completed the first degree course, a Reiki practitioner can then treat himself and others with Reiki. Course duration is dependent on the Reiki Master Teacher; some hold four sessions spread over a number of days, others hold two sessions over two days.

Second degree

In the second degree Reiki course, sometimes given the Japanese name of Okuden ("奥伝" in Japanese, meaning "Inner Teachings"),the student learns the use of a number of symbols that are said to enhance the strength and distance over which Reiki can be exerted. This involves the use of symbols to form a temporary connection between the practitioner and the recipient, regardless of location and time, and then to send the Reiki energy. Another attunement is given, which is said to further increase the capacity for Reiki to flow through the student, as well as empowering the use of the symbols. Having completed the second level, the student can work without being physically present with the recipient - a practice known as "distant healing". Students in Japan sometimes only attained the Second Degree after a period of 10, sometimes 20, years of practice under Usui's tutorship, and the majority of student never attained the Third Degree.

Third degree

Through the third degree, or "master training", sometimes given the Japanese name of Shinpiden ("神秘伝" in Japanese, meaning "Mystery Teachings"), the student becomes a Reiki Master. In Reiki terminology, the word "master" does not imply spiritual enlightenment, and is sometimes changed to "Master/Teacher" in order to avoid this confusion. According to the specific branch of Reiki, either one or more attunements can be carried out and the student learns a further symbol. Having completed the master training, the new Reiki Master can attune other people to Reiki and teach the three degrees. The duration of the master training can be anything from a day to a year or more, depending on the school and philosophy of the Reiki Master giving the training. There are commonly two types of Master: Master Teacher and Master Practitioner; a Master Teacher is a Master of Reiki and also has the ability to teach Reiki (i.e., attune others), though a Master Practitioner is a Master of Reiki but does not teach Reiki.

There is much variation in training methods, speed of completion (i.e., attunement), and costs. Though there is no accreditation and central body for Reiki, nor any regulation of its practice, there exist organizations within the United Kingdom that seek to standardize Reiki and Reiki practices, such as the UK Reiki Federation. Reiki courses are also available online, although traditionalists state that attunement must be done in person in order to take effect, as the Reiki Master/Teacher doing the attunement must be able to actually touch the energy field of the person being attuned. A distance Reiki attunement is not always recognized by certain Reiki federations, such as with the UK Reiki Federation, who state, "[a]ll training must have been "in-person" or "face to face" (distant attunements are not accepted)." Some traditionalists also hold the ideal that methods that teach Reiki "quickly" cannot yield as strong an effect, because there is no substitute for experience and patience when mastering Reiki.

Becoming A Reiki Master Teacher

by William Lee Rand

Reiki is a sacred practice that requires reverence and our greatest respect if we are to experience its most wonderful value. The benefits of Reiki can be all encompassing, not only giving us the ability to heal ourselves and others, which by itself is deeply meaningful, but also bringing guidance for our lives. Its unlimited nature can create opportunities for continual growth, unfoldment and the awakening of our own boundless potential. The ever increasing joy, peace and abundance that await those who sincerely pursue the path of Reiki are not only a blessing to be enjoyed, but also contain the healing that the planet so dearly needs. Those who have been initiated into Reiki often feel this greater potential and aspire to continue on to the Advanced and Master levels.

The desire to grow is inherent in simply being alive. As we look around ourselves and observe living things, we can clearly see that the one activity that all living things share is growth.

Everything that is alive grows. Because this is what living things do, one could even say that the purpose of life is to grow. Therefore, the desire to grow in ones Reiki potential is a natural expression of ones core essence and of life itself. If you feel this desire in your heart, honor and respect it. Doing so, will fulfill an innate need.

The joys of becoming a Reiki Master are many and you don't necessarily have to teach in order for the Master training to be useful. The additional healing energy, symbols, techniques and knowledge will add value to your healing abilities. Treating yourself, giving yourself and others healing attunements and treating others in person and at a distance will all be noticeably improved. The fact that you can pass Reiki on to friends and family is also a definite plus. Many take the Master training with just this in mind. However, if you ever decide to formally teach, you will be able to do so. As each person takes the Reiki Master training, and increases their personal vibration, this adds to the vibration of the whole planet!

One of the greatest joys of Reiki Mastership is teaching Reiki to others. Imagine the thrill of witnessing the members of your Reiki class receiving Reiki energy during the attunement. Then, as you guide them in its use, sharing in their joy and amazement as they experience it's gentle power flowing though them for the first time. As your students use Reiki to help family, friends and clients, a wonderful sense of spiritual connection will develop between all of you. Feelings of compassion and love for everyone will be strengthened as you merge with the Reiki Consciousness and know more deeply that we come from God and that we are all one in God.

All information about Reiki has come to us through Mrs. Takata who learned the system of Reiki in Japan in 1935. According to Mrs. Takata, the definition of a Reiki Master is anyone who has received the Master attunement and Master symbol, understands how to give all the attunements and has actually taught a Reiki class thus passing Reiki on to others. Those who have taken Reiki Master training and not taught at least one person would not qualify as Reiki Masters and should call themselves Reiki Master practitioners until they do teach. If you have taught a friend or family member, then you qualify as a Reiki Master.

After Mrs. Takata passed on in December, 1980, the twenty-two Masters she had initiated continued to teach and eventually began initiating other Masters. At first they taught in the same way Mrs. Takata had done, teaching the complete system in three degrees. Eventually some Masters began making changes to the system, adding knowledge and healing skills they had acquired from experience and inner guidance. Some took the third degree that originally contained the complete Master training and broke it up into two or more parts. Some actually broke the Master degree up into as many as five parts, calling each part a new degree.

When seeking a Reiki Master to take the Master training from, it is important to ask her/him exactly what you will be able to do after you take the Master training from them. Will you receive the complete training and be able to initiate others into all the degrees including full Reiki Master or will something be left out, requiring you to take additional sub-levels or degrees and pay additional fees? Because of the changes some have made to the system of Reiki, this is a very important question.

Becoming a Reiki Master is a serious step that must be preceded by necessary preparation. One must first take Reiki I&II and Advanced Reiki training. It is also necessary to meditate on your life purpose and decide if Reiki Mastership is in harmony with it. Then, it is important to find a Reiki Master to study with who is competent and who you feel attuned to and will support you after you become a Reiki Master. Becoming a Reiki Master implies that you will be able to initiate others into Reiki. Therefore, it is important to find a teacher who will spend time in class helping you practice the attunement process. Ask your teacher how much time is spent in class practicing the attunements as some teachers spend little or none….

Intention is powerful for the healer and the one receiving healing. The intention to heal focuses the energy so that the purpose to heal is accomplished like a straight arrow that hits the designated target.

Many years ago I had an unusually large group of students learning Reiki I. Before the class began I called my Reiki Master teacher asking her for a few words of wisdom. “Intention, it’s all about the intention not about the technique.” That was just what I needed to be reminded of. Those words helped me to stay focused on the truth about healing. So simple yet so profound. Through simplicity of purpose there is no room for the monkey mind or the ego to distract us. Intention keeps us on track so that the universal life force energy can simply do what it does best. It brings us back to who we are and our true nature, wholeness.

Trust your Intuition

Trust your intuition for we are always guided to what is best for us and others in the moment. Spirit speaks through the still small voice within. In order to hear the guidance we need to quiet the mind. In a healing session trust your intuition as to what the client, friend or family member needs. There is no need to figure anything out using your rational mind. The answers will come to you when you get quiet and ask and listen. When receiving healing just be in the quiet and stillness itself while you breathe, relax and let go. The more you trust your intuition the more you develop it naturally so that you can use it in all areas of your life and to help others.

Relax & Breath Deeply & Concentrate to Become a Channel  & Direct the Energy

Though the specific use of breath and breathing is central to many styles of Japanese Reiki, it is often a neglected topic in Western Reiki. Usui taught a technique called Joshin Kokyū-hō (女神呼吸法), which roughly translates as "the breathing method for cleansing the spirit," though literally translates as "Goddess Breath Method".[85] Joshin Kokyū-hō is performed by sitting straight, with the back aligned, breathing in slowly through the nose. As the practitioner inhales, s/he also breathes the Reiki energy in through the crown Chakra in order to purify the body and make it fit for the flow of Reiki, and is drawn down into the tanden.

Whole body treatment

In a typical whole-body Reiki treatment, the Reiki practitioner instructs the recipient to lie down, usually on a massage table, and relax. Loose, comfortable clothing is usually worn during the treatment. The practitioner might take a few moments to enter a calm or meditative state of mind and mentally prepare for the treatment, that is usually carried out without any unnecessary talking.

The treatment proceeds with the practitioner placing the hands on the recipient in various positions. However, practitioners may use a non-touching technique, where the hands are held a few centimeters away from the recipient's body for some or all of the positions. The hands are usually kept in a position for three to five minutes before moving to the next position. Overall, the hand positions usually give a general coverage of the head, the front and back of the torso, the knees, and feet. Between 12 and 20 positions are used, with the whole treatment lasting anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes.

Many Western practitioners use a common fixed set of 12 hand positions,[63] while others use their intuition to guide them as to where treatment is needed[90] as is the practice in Traditional Japanese Reiki, sometimes starting the treatment with a "scan" of the recipient to find such areas. The intuitive approach might also lead to individual positions being treated for much shorter or longer periods. A Western Reiki treatment is considered a type of large-scale treatment in comparison to the more localized-style treatment of Traditional Japanese Reiki.

The use of the 12 hand positions energize on many levels,by,

  • Energizing on a physical level through the warmth of the hands,

  • Energizing on the mental level through the use of the Reiki symbols,

  • Energizing on the emotional level through the love that flows with the use of the symbols,

  • Energizing on the energetic level though the presence of an initiated practitioner as well as the presence of the Reiki power itself.

It is reported that the recipient often feels warmth or tingling in the area being treated, even when a non-touching approach is being used. A state of deep relaxation, combined with a general feeling of well-being, is usually the most noticeable immediate effect of the treatment, although emotional releases can also occur. As the Reiki treatment is said to stimulate the body's natural healing processes, instantaneous "cures" of specific health problems are not normally observed. A series of three or more treatments, typically at intervals of one to seven days, is usually recommended if a chronic condition is being addressed,[89] and regular treatments on an on-going basis can be used with the aim of maintaining well-being. The interval between such treatments is typically in the range of one to four weeks, except in the case of self-treatment where daily practice is common.

Reiki Powerful Distant Healing  ( 8 mins)

Distant Healing

The very name of the topic Distance Healing would in absolute term mean that the healing process is administered away from a place where the beneficiary is located. This method demonstrates that the energy healing can be accomplished from distance. One of the early methods of distance healing is Prayer. We may be wondering as to how healing can work from distance? It can be simply countered by saying that telecommunication works on satellites and dishes. It is also said that energy used by healers are subtle in nature and it travels faster than light energy. It would be a long list to write the sufferings cured by distance healing but worth mentioning are the relief from   chronic pain, serious illness, loss of peace of mind, stress and anxiety.

Let us now find out the method by which distance healing works. The healer starts the breathing technique in a quiet place imagining that the energy is circulating. As breathing continues his hands are cupped and he imagines that he is holding the person to whom the healing energy is needed. Distance healing operates by means of communication from a distance after scheduling for the services by the healer. The procedure is based on universal frequencies and forces of nature and prominence is not attached to the proximity of the sufferer and the healer. This way he is able to transport the energy to a distance. One of the examples of distance healing is Distant Reiki. Distant Reiki healing is a convenient way for the sufferer to get energized sitting at his own place. The powerful remote energy received is equal to the Reiki hands on energy healing.

Qi (Ch'i)

Traditional Chinese – Korean

 & Japanese character

Qi  (Ch'i)

In traditional Chinese culture, qì (also chi or ch'i) is an active principle forming part of any living thing. Qi is frequently translated as life energy, lifeforce, or energy flow. Qi is the central underlying principle in traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. The literal translation of "qi" is breath, air, or gas.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) asserts that the body has natural patterns of qi that circulate in channels called meridians. In TCM, symptoms of various illnesses are believed to be the product of disrupted, blocked, or unbalanced qi movement through the body's meridians, as well as deficiencies or imbalances of qi in the Zang Fu organs.Traditional Chinese medicine often seeks to relieve these imbalances by adjusting the circulation of qi using a variety of techniques including herbology, food therapy, physical training regimens (qigong, t'ai chi ch'uan, and other martial arts training), moxibustion, tui na, and acupuncture.

Concepts similar to qi can be found in many cultures, for example, Prana in Vedantic philosophy, mana in Hawaiian culture, Lüng in Tibetan Buddhism, and Vital energy in Western philosophy. Some elements of qi can be understood in the term energy when used by writers and practitioners of various esoteric forms of spirituality and alternative medicine. Elements of the qi concept can also be found in popular culture, for example The Force in Star Wars. Notions in the west of energeia, élan vital, or vitalism are purported to be similar.

Human Energy Field

Human Energy Field - What are we made of?

Are we just a heap of chemicals—minerals, proteins and starches—piled up in a heap? Obviously, we are much, much more. Highly structured and intelligently organized, modern physics shows that even our “physical” bodies are really a sea of energies. Even the information transfer between cells  is mainly in the form of light—biophotonism. Yet modern medicine is still based on a primitive “chemical model” of the body. Thus medical diagnosis is based on laboratory tests that measure the levels of various normal and abnormal components of the body’s biochemistry. Tests can also examine tissues and cells for evidence of disease. Physical examination, radiology and electrical tests, such as cardiograms, help gather more physical information. But this limited chemical approach ignores the intricate and intelligent system of subtle energies that governs what happens on a physical level. It is this “energy anatomy” that is responsible for our ability to heal and to coordinate the complex matrix of cells and tissues on a material level. “Bioenergy” is the name given to these formative forces behind all biological life.

Why you need Scalar Energy?

Scalar energy is a unique form of energy that will embed itself into objects in its field. Objects such as products thus become carriers of this energy. When these products are ingested, the healthy energy is transferred to cells where the component nutrients end up. One of the key benefits this provides is that it helps keep the electrical charge across cell membranes at an optimal level. This means that nutrients move in and wastes move out of cells at peak efficiency, with obvious benefits to the functioning of the cells. Over time, with regular consumption of scalar enhanced supplements, the energy levels of tissues, organs, and the body as a whole are raised, promoting overall health and vitality.

Scalar field theory

In theoretical physics, scalar field theory can refer to a classical or quantum theory of scalar fields. A field which is invariant under any Lorentz transformation is called a "scalar", in contrast to a vector or tensor field. The quanta of the quantized scalar field are spin-zero particles, and as such are bosons.

No fundamental scalar fields have been observed in nature, though the Higgs boson may yet prove the first example. However, scalar fields appear in the effective field theory descriptions of many physical phenomena. An example is the pion, which is actually a "pseudoscalar", which means it is not invariant under parity transformations which invert the spatial directions, distinguishing it from a true scalar, which is parity-invariant. Because of the relative simplicity of the mathematics involved, scalar fields are often the first field introduced to a student of classical or quantum field theory.

  Color and Sound Therapy

Chromotherapy, sometimes called color therapy, colorology or cromatherapy, is a complementary medicine method. It is said that a therapist trained in chromotherapy can use light in the form of color to balance "energy" wherever a person's body be lacking, whether on physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental levels. The practice has been labelled pseudoscientific.

Color therapy is unrelated to light therapy, a scientifically-proven form of medical treatment for seasonal affective disorder and a small number of other conditions, and photobiology, the scientific study of the effects of light on living organisms.

Colour Therapy

Colour is the key; You are the colours you choose

  •  Colour is the key

  • You are the colours you choose

  • ·Colour, like sound, vibrates

  • Colour is the mirror to your soul, it reflects the miracle of You!

Colour is energy. At a scientific level it is understood in the context of the electromagnetic spectrum, which extends from RED, the 'Energizing', longest wavelength of electricity and radio waves to VIOLET the 'soothing', shortest wavelength of gamma and cosmic rays. Light, the field in which the rainbow of colour appears, is the visible portion of the electro-magnetic spectrum.

The messages of colour go beyond energizing and soothing. Colour vibrates at a different frequency to light. While science can measure some properties of light and some of the effects of colour upon the body-mind, nevertheless each colour carries a whole array of messages that speak to the different levels of our experience. The seeds of understanding this language of colour are contained within each of us. It is a knowing reflected in our everyday language when we speak of 'feeling blue', 'seeing red'; being 'green with envy'.

Rays of Color - Healing by Color Therapy

Definition of Color

The Concise Oxford Dictionary describes color as “sensation produced on eye by rays of light when resolved as by prism into different wavelengths; one, or any mixture, of the constituents into which light can be separated as in a spectrum or rainbow.” The Collins Gem Dictionary says, “Appearance of things as a result of reflecting light.”

The McGraw Hill Dictionary of scientific and technical terms describes color as, “general term that refers to the wavelength composition of light, with particular reference to its visual appearance.”

Merriam Webster Dictionary defines color as,

  • A phenomenon of light (as red, brown, pink or gray or visual perception that enables one to differentiate otherwise identical objects.

  •  The aspect of objects and light sources that may be described in terms of hue, lightness and saturation for objects and hue, brightness and saturation for light sources.

  • A hue as contrasted with black, white or gray.

From these definitions it is clear that for a human eye as well as its brain and mind to perceive color, light is essential.

Sir Isaac Newton, the renowned English scientist, in the year 1622 AD, conducted an experiment in which he used a prism and directed light through it. The result was the appearance of seven colors, which he called a color spectrum.

Sound & Vibrational Therapy

Binaural Beats

Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states. The effect on the brainwaves depends on the difference in frequencies of each tone: for example, if 300 Hz was played in one ear and 310 in the other, then the binaural beat would have a frequency of 10 Hz.

The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the amplitude and sound localization of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject's ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequencies of the tones must be below 1,000 hertz for the beating to be noticeable.[3] The difference between the two frequencies must be small (less than or equal to 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.

Binaural Beats = Synchronize Brainwaves & Alter Consciousness

Alter our state-of-being through the use of binaural beats. Although it hasn’t been a widely-researched topic until recently, binaural beats have been (very effectively) used by therapists as well as people looking to heighten their state of meditation for almost 100 years now.

Rhythmic repetitive music is a well-known method for humans into the trance, or altered state of consciousness (for example, during shamanistic rituals).

Sacred Sound Alchemy

Sacred Sound Alchemy for DNA Repair and Healing  ( 6 mins)

...Colors and light are formed in our brains by conversion.
Light energy vibrations of different frequency(i.e., of different wavelengths) are converted by a transducer(the eye) into signals(impulses) that can be received and processed by neurons in the brain of as colors.
Love signal is a healing audio and visual meditation with music, sacred geometry and Solfeggio frequency 528 Hz, the miraculous frequency for transformation and DNA repair. There is a special sound and color of love according to Dr. Horowitz, a Harvard-trained award-winning investigator. Broadcasting the right frequency can help open your heart, prompt peace, and hasten healing. "We now know the love signal, 528 Hertz, is among the six core creative frequencies of the universe because math doesn't lie, the geometry of physical reality universally reflects this music; these findings have been independently derived, peer reviewed, and empirically validated," Dr. Horowitz says. ...

“Electrons are Antioxidants”

Bioelectromagnetic Healing: A Rationale for its Use by Thomas Valone

There are many bioelectromagnetic (BEM) devices re-emerging in the 21st century, based on high voltage Tesla coils, that apparently bring beneficial health improvements to human organisms. Electromedicine or electromagnetic medicine are the terms applied to such developments in the ELF, RF, IR, visible or UV band. With short term, non-contacting exposures of several minutes at a time, such high voltage Tesla PEMF devices may represent the ideal, non-invasive therapy of the future, accompanied by a surprising lack of harmful side effects. A biophysical rationale for the benefits of BEM healing a wide variety of illnesses including cancer, proposes a correlation between a bioelectromagnetically restores transmembrane potential, and the electron transport across cell membranes by electroportation, with normal cell metabolism and immune system enhancement.

Presented at Whole Person Healing Conference & Tesla Energy Science Conference, 2003

History of Bioelectromagnetic Healing

Historically, as far back as 1890, the American Electro-Therapeutic Association conducted annual conferences on the therapeutic use of electricity and electrical devices by physicians on ailing patients. Some involved current flow through the patient, while others were electrically powered devices. At first, only direct current (DC) devices were utilized in the medical doctor’s office for relieving pain and vibrating female patients who were routinely diagnosed with "hysteria."

Richard Gerber, MD

Richard Gerber, MD is the author of the 1988 book, Vibrational Medicine: New Choices for Healing Ourselves, a publication that has been reviewed as ‘landmark’ and ‘encyclopedic’, and in many ways bridges the gap between science and esoteric healing.

Vibrational Medicine

Vibrational medicine is a diagnostic and healing approach to illness using energy in various forms and frequencies. It is the first scientific approach I’ve seen that is able to integrate science and spirituality, something which has unfortunately been left out of the medical model. It’s only by viewing the body as a multi-dimensional energy system that we begin to approach how the soul manifests through molecular biology, if you will. At one point in the evolution of human beings, our meridians were once connected to what’s called an axial tonal line and grid system. Which actually connects to higher dimensional energy matrices that extend beyond the etheric body and which may hold a perfect pattern of health and balance. This may be the area where Reconnective Healing may really work. In reconnecting our meridians to these axial tonal lines and grid network.

Magnet Therapy Illustrated: Natural Healing and Pain Relief Using Magnets

-  by Peter Rose

This book combines lucid text with clear, helpful illustrations. The mix of need-to-know facts with how-to techniques lets readers immediately tap the healing power of magnets. Magnet Healing Illustrated offers essential background information and explains in simple, straightforward language how magnetic forces can heal and repair tissue and help maintain health. Supported by an array of photographs and line drawings, the book shows exactly how readers can use magnets to relieve ailments that range from migraines and rheumatism to menstrual pain and travel sickness. A special section focuses on sports injuries. Throughout the book, sidebars trace the ancient tradition of magnet therapy and describe ways to combine magnet healing with other natural and conventional therapies.

Medical Magnets with a pattern of concentric circles of alternating polarity - All Magnets Are Not Created Equal

The key to efficient and effective treatment with magnetic therapy lies in increasing circulation by properly aligning the magnetic field with the affected blood vessels. -According to the Hall Effect, proper alignment is when magnetic fields cross blood vessels at right angles. Only BIOflex® offers Medical Magnets with a pattern of concentric circles of alternating polarity, guaranteeing consistent perpendicular alignment and deepest penetration of the magnetic field with the affected areas.

How BIOflex® Medical Magnets Work

Increased Circulation: The magnetic field attracts and repels charged particles in the blood, creating movement and heat. This process causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing circulation, thus accelerating the natural healing process.

Acupoints & Acupressure

Acupuncture points- also called acupoints are locations on the body that are the focus of acupuncture, acupressure, sonopuncture and laser acupuncture treatment. Several hundred acupuncture points are considered to be located along meridians (connected points across the anatomy which affect a specific organ or other part of the body). There are also numerous "extra points" not associated with a particular meridian.

They are different from Japanese shiatsu points,[citation needed] although Japanese acupuncture uses TCM acupuncture points.[citation needed]

Despite considerable efforts to understand the anatomy and physiology of the "acupuncture points", the definition and characterization of these points remains controversial. Evidence for the anatomical existence of acupuncture points is not compelling.

Acupoints used in treatment may or may not be in the same area of the body as the targeted symptom. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory for the selection of such points and their effectiveness is that they work by stimulating the meridian system to bring about relief by rebalancing yin, yang and qi (also spelled "chi" or "ki"). This theory is based on the paradigm of TCM and has no analogue in western medicine.

Body acupoints are generally located using a measurement unit, called the cun, that is calibrated according to their proportional distances from various landmark points on the body. Acupoint location usually depends on specific anatomical landmarks that can be palpated. Many of these basic points are rarely used. Some points are considered more therapeutically valuable than others, and are used very frequently for a wide array of health conditions.

Points tend to be located where peripheral nerves enter a muscle, the midpoint of the muscle, or at the enthesis where the muscle joins with the bone. Location by palpation for tenderness is also a common way of locating acupoints (see also trigger point). Points may also be located by feeling for subtle differences in temperature on the skin surface or over the skin surface, as well as changes in the tension or "stickiness" of the skin and tissue. There is no scientific proof that this method works and some practitioners disagree with the method.

Reflexology or Acupressure -

Points of Healing Massage Therapy

The concept of reflexology is to self-heal and correct ailments by instructing and reconditioning the neural system of the body. It is a complementary, biological, integrative health science where pressure is applied to reflex areas, thus persuading the body to biologically strengthen itself. Reflex areas can be found in the feet and hands and these correspond to the different glands and organs of the body. The most interesting part about this therapy is that the only equipment required here are your fingers!

Like most alternate systems, reflexology seeks to find and address the cause and not the symptom of any problem. What therefore happens is a complete, holistic healing.

The principle on which reflexology is based is that each of the body`s organs and glands are "linked" to corresponding areas of ears, hands and feet. The application of pressure on these points results in the energy being restored to the body, which in turn helps in strengthening of the immune system and in the natural healing system of the body functioning effectively.

All the organs of our body communicate through biochemical reactions on neurological pathways, and these pathways have reflex areas all over the body, with nerve endings on the hands, feet and ears. There are different maps of this pathway followed by different systems – such as Su jok, G-Jo, Shiatsu, and hand, foot and ear reflexology. Slowing down of the biochemical reactions is the cause of many diseases. Simulation of the reflex areas, that is done through various techniques such as magneto therapy, laser therapy, acupressure and acupuncture, speeds up the biochemical reactions and thus, hastens healing and very often, cures the disease, too.

For instance, foot reflexology, that is based on the profound and distinct relationship between the body and its two feet, left food representing the left half of the body and the right, representing the right half of the body. Whenever there is a disorder in any part of the body, the corresponding reflex point on the foot becomes very tender. Pressure on this point, which can be quite painful, needs to be given methodically and gradually, the corresponding part of the body gets healed.

What is Auriculo-therapy?

Auriculotherapy is the stimulation of the auricle of the external ear for the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions in other parts of the body. It is also known as ear acupuncture or auricular acupuncture when the stimulation is achieved by the insertion of acupuncture needles, whereas the term auriculotherapy often refers to electrical stimulation of the surface of ear reflex points. Specific points on the ear can also be stimulated by manual pressure, referred to as auricular acupressure or ear reflexology. Acupuncture points on the ear can also be stimulated with lasers, magnets, and ear pellets.

Acupressure for Sea-Sickness or Nausea

An excellent acupressure point for relieving nausea during pregnancy is called the Inner Gate (also called the Neiguan P6 acupressure point). This specific point is on your wrist and it is easy to treat by applying pressure with your fingertip while concentrating on your breathing. To use this stress relieving technique, first locate this acupressure point on the inside of your wrist. Measure three finger widths up your arm, from the wrist line. Use your thumb to locate the point in the hollow between the two bones and in the middle of the tendons. A slight soreness will let you know you have found the right location. Press the point firmly while you breathe out, and release pressure as you breathe in, repeating eight times on each wrist.

Flower Petals Therapy - Bach Flower Essence  -

Hot Stones  & Other Therapies

Flower Essence Remedies for Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia..

Flower remedies are often used for treating emotional and spiritual conditions. With stress and anxiety becoming the order of the day, it is not surprising to see the use of flower remedies for anxiety as well...

Flower remedies were invented by Edward Bach, an English homeopath and physician. The other name given to flower remedies is flower essence therapy. Flower remedies are actually dilutions of dew found on flower petals. According to Bach, the dew is able to retain the healing properties of the plant. These are also made by soaking flowers in pure water in sunlight. This helps in extracting essence from the flower. The liquid solvent used to make the remedies is a solution of brandy and water in the proportion 8:7. These remedies do not have the scent or taste of the plant, because it is in extremely diluted form. Flower remedies prove to be especially beneficial in treating depression related problems, anxiety, stress and insomnia.

Sage Cleansing Ritual

- Open every door and window in your home including closets, dens, storage areas, attic and the basement, and in particular where you feel the most energy.

- Stand at your front door and light the stick until you have a flame, blow on it until the flame goes out and embers smoke. You can let the stick stay on fire until you are satisfied with the burning area before blowing the flames out to embers. Keep the lighter with you as it may go out. (Note down when and if this happens.)

- Begin by walking the heavies traffic areas moving the stick in a sweeping motion up, down and side to side, saying a prayer of empowerment. You can use the prayer of St. Michael, or simpler more direct prayers that you feel comfortable saying out loud and confidently. (You do not need to perform this alone)

- Walk through all your rooms, waving the sage smoke in a sweeping motion and using your free hand to push the smoke into corners from top to bottom, along walls, around windows and along the ceiling and floor lines.

- After you have cleared your entire home including heavily used outdoor areas, use your hand to make a cup over the smoke and push the smoke over your head and face. You do not need to inhale the smoke. Use the stick and wave it around your body from head to toe and front to back to force any energies not your own away from your body.

You can let the stick burn out on its own or extinguish it as you see fit. You may want to keep the remainder Sage as a tool of self empowerment or for future use. Allow the remainder of the smoke and smell to leave your home before closing your windows and doors. You may need to repeat this ritual.

Suction Cup Therapy or Cupping

Cupping is a form of alternative pain therapy that recently left some curious marks on actress and new mom Gwyneth Paltrow. The mystery behind the circular marks on Paltrow's back is solved by Michael Gaeta, president of the Acupuncture Society of New York, who describes the therapy on The Early Show.

He demonstrates the cupping therapy on the back of one of his patients, who was lying on a treatment table.

"There are two forms of cupping therapy," Gaeta tells co-anchor Harry Smith. "Cupping therapy is a treatment in which the practitioner creates suction in a cup. And then applies that cup to the body, which then draws the skin up around the cup, under the cup."

The traditional method uses fire. Gaeta holds a cotton ball and wets it with alcohol. Then ignites the soaked cotton ball and places it in the cup.

He says, "Fire cupping uses a flame to create suction in the cup - you'll see a flame in the cup - and then, we'll apply the cup to the body." -The skin gets sucked up and rises under the cup as blood rushes up.

"Cupping brings fresh blood to the area, Gaeta says. "So it tends to improve circulation. It also helps open up the chest and benefit the lungs and can even benefit menstrual problems and digestive problems, too. Most commonly, it's used for aches and pains of various types as well as respiratory problems, cough, wheezing, things like that."

"It feels a bit strange," the patient says. "Definitely doesn't hurt. It just feels like someone's pulling at your skin."

NLP –  Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a name that encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience: neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create. Neuro-Linguistic Programming describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behavior (programming).

NLP is a pragmatic school of thought - an 'epistemology' - that addresses the many levels involved in being human. NLP is a multi-dimensional process that involves the development of behavioral competence and flexibility, but also involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind behavior. NLP provides tools and skills for the development of states of individual excellence, but it also establishes a system of empowering beliefs and presuppositions about what human beings are, what communication is and what the process of change is all about. At another level, NLP is about self-discovery, exploring identity and mission. It also provides a framework for understanding and relating to the 'spiritual' part of human experience that reaches beyond us as individuals to our family, community and global systems. NLP is not only about competence and excellence, it is about wisdom and vision.

In essence, all of NLP is founded on two fundamental presuppositions:

1. The Map is Not the Territory. As human beings, we can never know reality. We can only know our perceptions of reality. We experience and respond to the world around us primarily through our sensory representational systems. It is our 'neuro-linguistic' maps of reality that determine how we behave and that give those behaviors meaning, not reality itself. It is generally not reality that limits us or empowers us, but rather our map of reality.

2. Life and 'Mind' are Systemic Processes. The processes that take place within a human being and between human beings and their environment are systemic. Our bodies, our societies, and our universe form an ecology of complex systems and sub-systems all of which interact with and mutually influence each other. It is not possible to completely isolate any part of the system from the rest of the system. Such systems are based on certain 'self-organizing' principles and naturally seek optimal states of balance or homeostasis….

– Book by Bruce H. Lipton, PhD

The Biology of Belief is a groundbreaking work in the field of New Biology. Author Dr. Bruce Lipton is a former medical school professor and research scientist. His experiments, and that of other leading edge scientists, have examined in great detail the processes by which cells receive information. The implications of this research radically change our understanding of life. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. Dr. Lipton’s profoundly hopeful synthesis of the latest and best research in cell biology and quantum physics is being hailed as a major breakthrough showing that our bodies can be changed as we retrain our thinking.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) – by Gary Craig

Gary Craig, founder of EFT, a Stanford engineering graduate and an ordained minister. He is also a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Gary Craig was the creator of EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques. I spent countless hours studying Gary’s EFT Video Series (all the sets), reading his free EFT manual and newsletters, and attending workshops where Gary worked on-stage with individuals with a broad range of physical and emotional challenges. Learning from such a master of the art of emotional freedom was a wonderful experience for me, as it was for thousands of other professionals and motivated individuals.

Of all the energy therapies (and there are dozens), EFT is the most widely applied and is gaining the most interest. Why? It’s simple. It’s effective. It’s long-lasting. It’s empowering. EFT truly is emotional self-care.

What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a body/mind healing method, that uses tapping with the fingertips on specific points of the energy meridians while being “tuned in” to thoughts and feelings. In other words, it is a form of mindful acupressure. It allows to work with negative emotional intensity – creating the space for shifts and emotional wellbeing to occur.

Developed by Gary Craig, EFT is easily learned and flexible enough to be used by anyone. In its simplest form, EFT often yields profound results. However, there is an Art of Delivery to the process that can take the physical, emotional and spiritual transformation much further.

Quantum Healing: Exploring the Frontiers of Mind/Body Medicine
By Deepak Chopra

Here is an extraordinary new approach to healing by an extraordinary physician-writer — a book filled with the mystery, wonder, and hope of people who have experienced seemingly miraculous recoveries from cancer and other serious illnesses.

Dr. Deepak Chopra, a respected New England endocrinologist, began his search for answers when he saw patients in his own practice who completely recovered after being given only a few months to live. In the mid-1980's he returned to his native India to explore Aruyveda, humanities most ancient healing tradition. Now he has brought together the current research of Wetern medicine, neuoscience, and physics with the insights of Ayurvedic theory to show that the human body is controlled by a "network of intelligence" grounded in quantum reality. Not a superficial psychological state, this intelligence lies deep enough to change the basic pattenrs that design our physiology — with the potential to defeat cancer, heart disease, and even aging itself. in this inspiring and pioneering work, Dr. Chopra offers us both a fascinating intellectual journey and a deeply moving chronicle of hope and healing.

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.[1] A variety of biological, psychological, religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources.

Health and Happiness

Happiness is difficult to define and even harder to measure. We experience it as a combination of elements, in the same way that one wheel or spring inside a watch doesn't keep time — it is a result of the synchronicity of the whole. As a relative state, happiness is what psychologists call our "subjective well-being" and, fortunately for us, it is a state that we can actively change for the better.

  • · Laughter, like so many other endorphin-triggers, helps to reduce certain stress hormones and, while it might be contagious, it strengthens your immune system rather than weakening it.

  • · Learn to scan your memory bank for your strengths, talents, passions, interests, practical coping skills, and earlier potential — whether it's actualized or not. Scanning this memory bank and gleaning material that can be used to reinvent yourself to be happier is key,

  • · Visualize Happiness - We are unique creatures in that we can mentally simulate situations by remembering the past and visualizing the future. We can also play a hand at perhaps creating the future — at least in terms of preparing our emotional state for what may come. There is much research behind visualization and emotional changes, as it has been shown that positive thoughts have an impact on the brain's biochemistry.

  • · "If you experience a “Happiness Visualization” with your eyes closed, your mind doesn't know if it's real or unreal," - It makes people feel as though they have it and tricks the mind into thinking they have [what they are visualizing] now.

  • · Smile - Based on the psychology that a person feels whatever emotion they are acting at the moment, you will probably feel better if you smile. Our minds react to the change in our facial expression to bring our beliefs in line with our behavior. Smiling is the beginning of laughter. Like laughter, it’s contagious. Pioneers in “laugh therapy,” find it’s possible to laugh without even experiencing a funny event. The same holds for smiling. When you look at someone or see something even mildly pleasing, practice smiling.
Count your blessings. Literally make a list. The simple act of considering the good things in your life will distance you from negative thoughts that are a barrier to humor and laughter. When you’re in a state of sadness, you have further to travel to get to humor and laughter.

  • · When you hear laughter, move toward it. Sometimes humor and laughter are private, a shared joke among a small group, but usually not. More often, people are very happy to share something funny because it gives them an opportunity to laugh again and feed off the humor you find in it. When you hear laughter, seek it out and ask, “What’s funny?”

  • · Spend time with fun, playful people. These are people who laugh easily–both at themselves and at life’s absurdities–and who routinely find the humor in everyday events. Their playful point of view and laughter are contagious.

  • · Bring humor into conversations. Ask people, “What’s the funniest thing that happened to you today? This week? In your life?”

Laughter is the Best Medicine - The Health Benefits of Humor and Laughter

Humor is infectious. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy. Laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.

Laughter is Good for your Health

  • - Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.

  • - Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.

  • - Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

  • - Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

The link between Laughter and Mental Health

  • - Laughter dissolves distressing emotions. You can’t feel anxious, angry, or sad when you’re laughing.

  • - Laughter helps you relax and recharge. It reduces stress and increases energy, enabling you to stay focused and accomplish more.

  • - Humor shifts perspective, allowing you to see situations in a more realistic, less threatening light. A humorous perspective creates psychological distance, which can help you avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • - Be more spontaneous. Humor gets you out of your head and away from your troubles.

  • - Let go of defensiveness. Laughter helps you forget judgments, criticisms, and doubts.

  • - Release inhibitions. Your fear of holding back and holding on are set aside.

  • - Express your true feelings. Deeply felt emotions are allowed to rise to the surface
